You’ll go to great efforts to display your love for your specific someone if it’s love at first sight. Being in love is a wonderful experience, which is why people seek ways to communicate their feelings to the person they love.
That similar feeling might be felt by potential dog owners for the dog they desire to adopt. These people are dedicated to saving and adopting dogs in various locations. They even go to distant nations in order to bring a dog back to their homeland should they choose the animal to be a part of their home.
A man’s story is one-of-a-kind. He had just no idea how he was really going to get a dog back to his home. He wanted to adopt this specific dog from a town 1,500 kilometers away from where he lived.
Joel Carpenter of Maine was looking for a dog to adopt on a prominent dog adoption website. While browsing, he fell in love with Sadie, a Collie-Husky mix, after seeing her on the said website. The distance, on the other hand, was a problem that Joel was facing with regard to adopting Sadie. See, Sadie lived in Minnesota, which is almost 1,500 miles away from Maine.
Joel was still determined to bring Sadie to Maine, despite the distance. So he purchased a $300 one-way plane ticket to Minnesota in order to formally adopt the dog.
The man now faced a new obstacle after adopting Sadie: he lacked the finances to return to Maine. Joel was determined to walk with Sadie from Minnesota to Maine if that was what it took to bring the dog back home.
Thankfully, Joel’s story piqued the eye of a news organization. They happily invited Joel for an interview and then decided to purchase a plane ticket for him to return home.
It’s a touching story because Joel didn’t think twice about adopting Sadie despite the distance. Joel surely was determined to provide a nice life for Sadie and that is what he did.
