In a South Korean rural community, a young woman owned a white Jindo dog named Jinsoon. The woman usually tethered Jinsoon to an old pallet shelter so that the dog could protect the woman’s home.
Some months later, Jinsoon became pregnant. Even though the owner is unaware of when her dog met a mate, she has cheerfully accepted the reality that she will soon have additional canines. Tragically, Jinsoon lost all of its newborns shortly after their birth. Since then, the dog has guarded its post while appearing lonely and dejected.
Many months later, the woman followed up with Jinseon. The dog exited her refuge after being summoned by her owner. The owner was surprised to see two small puppies inside the shelter.
The woman never observed Jinsoon gaining weight or becoming pregnant again. The two puppies, however, were also white and of the same breed as Jinseon. Concerned that the puppies’ owners were searching for them, the woman inquired throughout her neighborhood as to whether anyone had misplaced the puppies.
A neighbor informed her that he had seen a similar dog wandering the adjacent trees. The mother and her neighbors located the puppy in a neighboring woodland. They delivered the dog to the woman because she already owned the puppy’s prospective siblings.
To determine whether or not the puppies were Jinsoon’s progeny and to confirm that they were siblings, the woman had the canines undergo genetic testing. The outcomes demonstrated that the puppies are siblings. However, the results also demonstrated that Jinsoon was not their biological parent.
But despite the fact that Jinsoon was not their mother, the dog treated them as if they were its own. The puppies’ birth mother likely abandoned them. Jinsoon’s maternal instincts prevent her from ignoring the puppies’ demands.
As for the woman, she developed an attachment to the puppies and ultimately decided to keep them. She and Jinseon would nurture the puppies together.
