Have you seen a dog that loves to play pool? If you haven’t, you should meet Halo. She learned to play pool by simply observing her owner, Josh Kuhn.
Halo isn’t your typical dog who simply loves walking, cuddling, and nibbling on anything. Sure, she loves these things, but it’s nothing compared to her excitement and expertise in playing pool.
It all started when Josh bought a new pool table. While he was practicing, he noticed Halo observing his every movement. Josh caught Halo leaning towards the pool, barking at the balls, and running around as if imitating how he played pool.
Seeing how Halo got excited, Josh finally decided to teach her how to play pool. However, because Halo could not hold the stick, Josh taught her how to play billiards with her paws. It’s amazing how Halo also used her sense of sight and instinct to aim for her shots.
Halo immediately learned to clear the pool table after a few days of practice. She can do straight, bank, cushion, and even rebound shots. Her expertise in this sport is undeniably intermediate.
Josh set up the shots most of the time, but it was Halo who pushed the ball down. With her eye-paw coordination and controlled force, Halo strikes with perfect accuracy.
Halo plays like an ordinary person. Whenever it’s her turn to play, she tilts her head, examines every side of her shot, and pushes the ball.
When she plays, she usually stands on the table and used her front paw to push the ball down. Afterward, she walks around to aim for her next shot.
Josh and Halo’s relationship leveled up because they found a common hobby. From being the man’s best friend, Halo also became Josh’s pool-gaming buddy. It’s a different kind of bond if your pet is also into your hobby.
