A woman named Jami Lassell brought her friend with her to clean an attic at an abandoned house in Pennslyvania when they noticed a poor, lonely, and thin Pit Bull inside. Jami had a thought that someone trapped the pup in the attic and just left it there.
The situation surprised Jami, and she wouldn’t have thought the Pit Bull survived without any food or water. But the canine kept its head up high, and Jami came in at the right time. She got it out of the house and named it Remi. From then on, Remi didn’t want to leave her rescuer’s side.
Concerned about the sweet pup, Jami took her under her care and visited a vet to get her checked. When they arrived, the vet mentioned that Remi was at least one or two years old, and she had several health problems and injuries. She was infested with fleas, and the back of her leg broke, along with a broken tooth and nail.
Despite Remi’s condition, Jami wasn’t ready to give up on her. She provided her with a comfy bed to sleep on and managed her food and water intake to prevent overfeeding. Then she gave her a bath to get rid of the fleas.
Jami created a GoFundMe page together with the fundraiser organizer, Jamie George, where people, and even dog lovers, can donate to help and support Remi’s medical bills. There were a lot of people who responded, and Jami was able to raise 5,000 dollars. She sends her heartfelt gratitude to everyone who donated.
