In Fulton, Maryland, a dog lived by a beautiful name, Dozer. He was three years by then when he saw a group of people running on the street.
He wondered. What is so serious about them?
The curiosity in him triggered some feelings of discovery. Before long, he decided to follow these people who seemed determined to reach somewhere. He ran alongside them innocently.
Miles later, the dog crossed the finishing line.
You know what? The marathon was all about fundraising, sponsored by the University of Maryland. Precisely, it was a Maryland half marathon. Surprisingly, those who participated in the marathon did not realize that Dozer was alone.
The determined dog gave the runners a unique company as they ran patiently to complete the Marathon race. Those watching through the TV cheered as they saw the dog run tirelessly to finish the race.
The sudden disappearance of the dog must have puzzled the owner. Although the caretaker never raised the alarm, the dog was cooperative enough to return home the following day.
The courage and determination of this dog left the organizers of this event amazed. Many wondered as to who was responsible for the dog’s impressive actions.
The Marathon committee decided that they would recognize the talent in Dozer. True to their word, the organizers gave this dog a special award.
The fame aroused the community’s interest in the dog’s running skills. The owner became motivated by the decision to award his dog a prize and opened a Facebook page in honor of his famous pet.
So far, Dozer is still raising funds for the cancer center. The dog supported the cancer center by raising $ 21,000 through its online network. The outcome is immeasurable.
