Owner Of Emaciated Dog Calmly Surrendered Her To Rescuers

Owner Of Emaciated Dog Calmly Surrendered Her To Rescuers

Joseph McNair April 26, 2021

A rescuer named Lisa got a call one day from a concerned woman. The woman called about a few neglected dogs. Lisa and her team immediately went to the dogs’ location to remove them from the premises.

Lisa was a little surprised that their owners let them into the property. He showed them where the dogs were. He even went inside a room and got two puppies from there.

Lisa explained that he should surrender the dogs to them, and he was okay with it. He even helped them transport the dogs to the car. He did not surrender all of them, though. One of the dogs that caught Lisa’s attention was a mother dog named Mama Lucky.

Mama Lucky was so emaciated that she was only 17 pounds. When Lisa told the owner that she also needed to get Mama Lucky, he refused. He did not want her to go anywhere.

Lisa did not push him any further but offered to give him a blanket. He can use the blanket for Mama Lucky so she can have a warmer sleeping area. Somehow, while they were talking about giving him resources, all of a sudden, he told them to open their car.

He changed his mind and wanted them to get Mama Lucky as well. He had a change of heart and brought the dog to the rescuer’s vehicle. Lisa and her team immediately transported the dogs to the vet so that they can have their checkups. They were also vaccinated there.

That was only the beginning of their good life. After a few weeks, a lot of the dogs were adopted by amazing families. Mama Lucky was fostered by a woman named Karla.

Living with Karla did wonders for her because, in only 15 days, she went from 17 lbs to 32. She was thrilled with her new environment, especially since Karla had a pack of dogs. Mama Lucky enjoyed playing with them and just having a good time.

After a few weeks with her foster family, Mama Lucky was adopted by an amazing family. Lisa was grateful that the dogs found their families. She was especially happy for Mama Lucky.
