Puppy mills are revolting establishments that can be easily called cruel. These are large-scale breeding operations that disregard the needs of both the mama dogs and the puppies. Sites are unkempt and unmanaged, with animal pee and feces all around. Furthermore, the cages are of poor quality, causing injury to the dogs.
Puppies bred in these facilities are usually unfit. They are frequently infected with parasite illnesses. Puppy mill puppies are also poorly socialized because they are taken from their mothers at a young age to be sold to potential consumers.
Mikhail, a poodle, was one of 121 puppies rescued in Jefferson County, Arkansas from a suspected puppy mill. The canines in the facility were revealed to be living in filth. All of the cages are filthy with feces and urine. The dogs’ fur was so matted that rescuers can’t tell what breed they were.
Mikhail’s eyes were hidden by his fur. The best and sure way to get rid of all of the matting in his hair was to fully shave it.
Mikhail instantly smote a woman named Melita Yearwood after seeing his rescue footage. She went to the Humane Society of the United States (HSUS), where the dog was staying, seeing if he was up for adoption. Melita felt she was destined to be Mikhail’s fur mom when she visited him at his foster parents’ house.
Mikhail changed from a scruffy-looking puppy to a spoilt dog once Melita adopted him!
Melita takes care of Mikhail’s appearance. Mikhail is always taken on a shopping trip by Melita, and she buys him new outfits.
Melita encourages everyone to go and adopt because there are so many dogs looking for a home.
