A Dog That Has Been Missing for Two Years Has Finally Found Its Forever Home

A Dog That Has Been Missing for Two Years Has Finally Found Its Forever Home

An animal rescue charity group,  Hope For Paws, received a call about a malnourished dog in the mountains. Several attempts by animal rescue, JoAnn and Lisa, at the rescue facility offered to find and rescue the sad puppy.

Two of the rescue group’s determined volunteers were the only ones who could seemingly save the day for this poor dog. Two volunteer control to catch the dog were unsuccessful.

A resident of a nearby gated community informed the rescuers that the dog had been seen in their neighborhood. The neighborhood was also near the mountain’s entrance.

The stray was sitting on someone’s front lawn when JoAnn and Lisa drove around the neighborhood. They parked their car and approached the dog slowly. Despite her fear of humans, the dog couldn’t get enough of the fragrance of a juicy cheeseburger that the rescuers held.

While JoAnn fed the dog, Lisa quickly grabbed the choke chain and secured the dog. The animal was scared a little, but quickly recovered and continued to eat joyfully.

The stray dog was given the name Edna after the rescuers replaced the choke chain with a leash. JoAnn and Lisa helped Edna into their car and drove to the shelter.

When they arrived at the shelter, a vet examined Edna and discovered that she had a microchip. Joann and Lisa took the contact information and contacted Edna’s owners, who assumed that their dog had probably died after going missing. Edna’s previous owners stated that they no longer wanted her after realizing that she was still alive.

JoAnn and Lisa were more than delighted to assist Edna in finding a new home. They immediately transferred Edna to her new foster family after learning that she was in wonderful health.

Hundreds of people applied to adopt Edna after she spent a few weeks in foster care. Edna ended up with a beautiful lady who loves dogs a whole lot.
