Dog With A Horrible Past Refused To Look Anyone In The Eye Until A Person Made Her Feel Love

Dog With A Horrible Past Refused To Look Anyone In The Eye Until A Person Made Her Feel Love

Joseph McNair October 25, 2021

Whenever we experience something horrible, we associate certain things that contribute to that particular experience. We often try to avoid these things to avoid the horrible experience. For example, if we get bullied by someone in school, we try to avoid that person so we can never experience the unpleasant feeling of getting bullied.

A dog named Miley was born in a horrible place. The only thing that Miley knew ever since she was born was pain and fear. She was born and raised in a dogfighting operation and was used as a bait dog.

When Miley served her purpose, her brutal owner decided that she’s no longer useful as a bait dog. Miley was thrown out into the street and was left to suffer and die. Miley’s back leg was barely hanging and her body was also covered in wounds and scars. At such a young age, Miley has experienced horrific things that no dog should ever experience.

Miley was rescued by an animal control officer who also posted a plea for help for Miley on social media. A woman named Amanda Holley came across the post and immediately felt sorry for Miley. Miley was going to be euthanized if no one came forward.

Another woman even started a fundraiser to help cover Miley’s medical bill. After Amanda picked Miley up, Miley was finally safe. However, Miley experienced so many horrible things in her life that she already associated humans with pain and suffering. Miley refused to look anyone in the eye.

Amanda decided to buy Miley a stuffed hedgehog toy and when she gave it to Miley, Miley looked at Amanda in the eye as if she was saying that it’s the greatest kindness she ever received from a human. After that moment, Miley started making eye contact with Amanda and she even took medicine from her hand.

Amanda didn’t really plan on adopting Miley but when Miley’s foster family needed to move, Amanda didn’t pass up the chance to care for Miley. Since then, Miley became a part of Amanda’s family and she’s the most loving and friendly dog who loves to meet people.
