A dog breeder dumped his husky, who can’t be sold because of her ‘weird’ looking eyes due to an eyelid deformity. It became a ‘blessing in disguise’ after.
Jubilee is a 4-year-old Siberian husky with an eyelid deformity. Her ‘weird’ looking eyes also draw people away from adopting her. She’s been homeless for two years, and she’s still hoping that a kind-hearted family will add her to their family and give her a home she can call hers.
Husky House is a shelter in Matawan, New Jersey. They took care of Jubilee for two years. They shared a Facebook post and narrated Jubilee’s struggle to get adopted.
The post said that she came from a breeder who could not sell her and said that she was ‘weird’ looking. Also, she’s unlike any ordinary majestic-looking husky, and she wonders why she does not look like them.
The same Facebook post said she likes other dogs but does not like cats. She likes people; it’s just that she’s shy because they would look away from her and laugh at her. She’s wondering if people do not want a funny-looking dog, and she also wishes to have her own family who would love her even though she is not pretty.
The post went viral and had 47,000 shares as of writing. Not only that, Jubilee had become an Internet sensation; she could also find her new family. The once abandoned and laughed-at husky finally received the family and love that she deserved.
The shelter thanked all who shared Jubilee’s story. A Husky House’s previous adopters adopted her. Her new foster parents also created a Facebook page to update her newfound followers on her new life. The Facebook page described her as “A uniquely beautiful furbaby.”
