Earlier this month, both Pablo Villamayor and his wife were up on a bicycle ride down a wide stretch of road somewhere in Paraguay when something unfortunate caught their eye.
In the certain distance ahead of them, the couple saw a car pulled over to the roadside and then tossed away a small bag into the woods. Then, the car immediately drove off.
Villamayor and his wife did not expect that what they had just witnessed would change their lives. As they approached the spot where the car had pulled over, they saw what’s in the bag.
According to Villamayor, they realized that it’s a pup. He came out from the bag and suddenly ran toward them, crying. So, they stopped.
It turned out that they had been in the right place at the right time to rescue such a precious life. Luckily, the small puppy seemed to be just healthy. Therefore, instead of calling for some help, Villamayor chose to save the poor little dog himself.
He then secured the little pup to his bike’s handlebars. Together, they headed off to safety. However, this was only the starting point of what would be called a lifelong journey.
Villamayor said he and his wife decided to adopt the puppy. They even named him Lorenzo. He’s now finally home with them, and he is happy. The abandoned little pup had finally found his perfect family.
For Villamayor, it is unimaginable why anybody would dump a dog just like trash on the side of the road. But fortunately, he and his wife were there to check it – and recognize it’s actually a treasure.
According to him, he felt sick taking in the cruelty of some people. But they were very lucky to have found Lorenzo. His wife, Fate, wanted him to be with them.
