Earlier this February in Puerto Rico, a fur dad named Rey Caquias took his Dalmatian, Thiago, out on a walk. However, what the pair did not know was that they would end up coming home as a trio.
During the walk, Caquias noticed that his pooch seemed a bit distracted by something that was off the path. Although Caquias urged him to continue walking, Thiago was insistent on taking a better look.
According to Caquias, Thiago took a detour and went into the forest. He called out for him, but the pooch just ignored him. And that’s when he heard a bark, so he took a look and saw a terrified little pup.
The pup, who seemed to have been dumped there, was skinny and frightened. It is likely that he wouldn’t have survived much longer by himself. However, thanks to Thiago, help arrived.
Caquias rescued the pup, who even bit him at first out of fright. However, after having found a box to transport the pup in, he carried the little pooch safely home.
Caquias bathed the pup and fed him. After he was finally clean and well-fed, the pup was brought to the vet. All throughout, the pup’s hero, Thiago, didn’t leave his side.
In just a couple of days, the puppy has become much healthier and stronger — inside and out. Moreover, both Caquias and Thiago have grown fond of him. The two dogs get along really well with each other.
In the end, the Dalmatian did not just save the pup’s life; he also changed his life for the better. How the little dog ended up alone there is not known. But there is no doubt he got rescued in time, thanks to Thiago.
Caquias said Thiago is kind, and he’s thankful for having him in his life. He would not have seen the pup if Thiago had not found him.
