Locked up in a crate, a young Pitbull mix named Rosabella lay. The poor pup wouldn’t have survived without blankets and was left alone in below-freezing weather. The dog was rescued just in time for Christmas, thanks to a concerned rescue group.
Search for warmth
Rosabella was found by a kind bystander called Ruff Start Rescue, a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization specializing in animal rescue missions. The dog looked incredibly thin and sick.
She felt calmer once Rosabella was freed and placed in the rescue facility. Shelter volunteer Breanna Jensen saw the dog and knew she had to foster the sweet pup.
Jensen was infamous for her care of special needs dogs. She had a history of dealing with canines with mange, amputations, and severe medical cases. Even so, she has never cared for a dog like Rosabella.
The Pittie mix was placed on a special diet where she had to eat multiple small portions throughout the day to help her quickly gain weight. Jensen showed overwhelming support and love towards Rosabella’s recovery.
All the love
After only two weeks, the canine gained ten pounds. Rosabella became this loving and playful pup who interacted with everyone she met. Her fantastic transformation was dubbed as a Christmas miracle by Jensen.
The rescue group constantly posted updates about Rosabella’s journey through their social media platforms. As time passed, Rosabella’s sweet smile grew bigger and bigger. The bravery and resilience that the dog showed truly inspired her fans.
Rosabella knew she was in a safe and comfortable environment.
Jensen wanted to watch the dog closely before putting her up for adoption. She wanted to make sure that Rosabella fully healed first.
Thanks to her rescuers, Rosabella can get a second shot at life. A long recovery journey will happen, but Jensen is happy to have the sweet rescue pup.
