A woman named Laurette was in her yard one day when she saw a dog slip through her fence. The dog was very friendly and immediately approached her.
She played with the dog for a little while. After that, she then went to her neighbor to ask about the canine.
It seemed that the dog, Georgia, was a stray, and Laurette’s neighbors were fostering her. Laurette was happy that she met the dog, but she didn’t think it would come back. To her surprise, Georgia kept coming back to her home. That’s when she felt that the dog had chosen her to be its owner.
When she talked to her neighbors about it, they were more than happy to let her adopt Georgia. Laurette was pleased because Georgia could not have come at a better time in her life.
When they met, Laurette just finished six rounds of chemotherapy. She also underwent 25 rounds of radiation. This amazing woman just won her battle over ovarian cancer.
She needed a companion to help her live her best life. She immediately knew that it was Georgia.
One of the things on Laurette’s bucket list was to drive a motorcycle with a sidecar. It made Georgia the perfect companion to bring on these rides since she was well-behaved. She wouldn’t move around and would simply enjoy the view.
Georgia even had her little harness to keep her in place during these rides. Laurette was delighted to know that she enjoyed herself during their adventures. Since then, the two went to different locations on a motorcycle with a sidecar. These two were living the best life!
Laurette was grateful that she adopted Georgia. Looking back, she also realized how lucky she was that she saw Georgia in her yard that day. That encounter changed their life.
