Puppy With Special Needs Finally Finds Fur-ever Home After His Initial Adopters Stood Him Up

Puppy With Special Needs Finally Finds Fur-ever Home After His Initial Adopters Stood Him Up

Joseph McNair July 29, 2021

Jack, an American bulldog puppy, has spina bifida, a condition that makes him pretty special. And because he has special needs, he needs a special family who can love him for all that he is. Thankfully, he has found them after going through a rough start.

Jack, the special needs puppy

Jack used to live at Peaches Bully Rescue in Ohio, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping the bully breeds. The rescue staff has such fondness towards this adorable pup because he has an extremely sweet and charming personality despite his condition.

You see, Jack has spina bifida, a congenital condition that leads to a deformity in his spine. While Jack is mobile, he cannot walk or run the way normal dogs do. He is also incontinent, so he needs to wear diapers all the time. He is also not up for long walks because of his club feet.

Peaches Bully Rescue was happy to hand Jack over to his new adopters. The staff bathed him and put him on fresh diapers. And then, they drove for minutes so that Jack can meet his new family. But his adopters did not show up and never called back. Jack was stood up, and everyone was sad for him.

Jack’s perfect family

So, the rescue posted what happened to Jack on social media, and many people expressed their interest in taking him in. Jack was overwhelmed with all the adoption applications. Surely, there must be a perfect family for him out there!

After a few weeks, the rescue approved the application of one of the adopters, and Jack went home to his forever family. He has a human sister who loves him to bits, and his parents spoiled him with so many toys. There were also lots of people who generously donated diapers for him.

Jack can finally say he is home sweet home, He enjoys going outside with his humans while riding his stroller. During his downtime, he would watch the neighbors from the windows. He also celebrated his first birthday with his family, and he had a blast!

Jack is now living his best life, thanks to the humans who love him unconditionally.
