When people think of dogs, they usually envision cute furry pets that enjoy running around and roaming in their backyard. This is not the case with this dog. This mixed Alaskan Malamute and Husky breed is quite challenging to handle. She can get rowdy when bored, especially if she doesn’t get the necessary exercise.
Tally is a Husky-Malamute mix who acts like a cat. Surprisingly, she acquired feline traits because her previous owners cared for many cats. Since she only hung out with cats in her previous owner’s house, it became apparent how she became a cat by instinct.
DONG_OF_JUSTICE (Dong), a Reddit user who shared Tally’s story and became her second family, said that Tally grew very close to her past owner’s cats. DOJ claimed they only had Tally when she was two years old.
Dong tried to get Tally to mingle with other dogs, but she was uninterested. He would bring her to dog parks, but Tally sniffed everything and ignored the other dogs following her.
Unfortunately, Dong’s family had to give Tally away to a family friend due to her excessive shedding. Dong admitted that they couldn’t provide Tally’s necessary care and attention. This prompted them to look for a new home for Tally.
On a happier note, Tally is adjusting well to her new home. Dong said that Tally’s new family is treating her well and that the dog is thriving. Dong also mentioned that he visits Tally now and then, and the dog gets excited to see him every time.
Tally continued to behave like a cat. She lays in her favorite spot daily, looking at people as if quietly judging them. But for sure, this Husky-Malamute always has a place in Dong’s heart.
