Woman Rejects Man’s Marriage Proposal After He Tried To Get Rid Of Her Dog

Woman Rejects Man’s Marriage Proposal After He Tried To Get Rid Of Her Dog

Joseph McNair July 25, 2022

Marriage is supposed to be the union between couples who love each other. However, in some cultures, arranged marriages are still the norm. In India, arranged marriages happen all the time, and it’s also widely accepted in their society.

A Bangalore woman named Karishma Walia was due to be married to a guy her parents picked. Karishma’s mom thought that the guy she chose for her daughter was the perfect match since he was well-off and good-looking.

Karishma stated that she was under a lot of pressure. Still, she was willing to talk and compromise with her supposed-to-be future husband. Unfortunately for the guy, he didn’t like the idea of Karishma owning a dog. The guy wanted Karishma to get rid of her dog before they married.

For Karishma, that was the deal-breaker. As soon as the guy told Karishma to get rid of her dog, Lucy, Karishma didn’t even have to think twice to tell him how much Lucy meant to her. Karishma truly cares for Lucy, and her social media page even shows it. She even stated how much Lucy meant to her in her profile bio.

Karishma discussed Lucy with the guy she was supposed to marry, but she eventually had to end it when he disapproved of her dog and tried to decide for her. The guy even told Karishma to marry Lucy since she was more important to Karishma than him.

While Karishma’s parents disagreed with what she did, people online lauded her for making a stand for her beloved pet. Karishma is an independent and successful woman who has a career. Losing the guy who wanted to make decisions on her behalf was definitely a bullet dodged.

With how the guy was pressuring Karishma to get rid of Lucy, she knew that the marriage would never work. Lucy is one lucky dog to have such a dedicated owner to care for her so much. It’s safe to say that Karishma would go to the ends of the Earth for Lucy. Here’s a video featuring Karishma’s story and how she stood up for her beloved pet dog.
