The COVID-19 pandemic has compelled everyone to stay indoors for a long time. This new norm has somewhat made everyone’s world much smaller. And the babies born during this period have little socialization or exposure to new environments.

But now that the world is going back to normal, there are a lot of things that toddlers will experience for the first time. Such a moment was uploaded to TikTok by a netizen named Maxismallnyc. Keep reading to know what that moment is.

Baby meets a Golden Retriever for the first time

In a clip uploaded to TikTok, you could see a little boy approaching a Golden Retriever being held on a leash. The boy, who was donning a striped shirt, reached for the dog and touched its nose. Then, he allowed the pup to snuggle his ears.

It was revealed in the text overlaying the video that it was the toddler’s first time to meet a dog. Watch the video below to see how tender and heartwarming their meeting was.

The netizens’ hearts are melted

The adorable video had gained lots of traction online since its posting. At present, it has more than five million views and 888K likes. More than 2.7K TikTok users rushed to the comments section to share their kind and optimistic sentiments.

One commenter shared that the dog’s face seemed to say that he loved little humans. Another netizen couldn’t get enough of how the dog gave the toddler tiny kisses. A third commenter said that the dog was just as excited as the kid for their first meeting.

Someone pointed out that Golden Retriever is a good breed for a first encounter. A fifth netizen said that the child would never fear dogs after this meeting. Meanwhile, one Tikok user that the dog reminded her of the bear from the kids’ TV series which is called Bear in the Big Blue House.
