People often refer to our four-legged canine friends as “man’s best friend” because of their loyalty. Once they become part of a family, they create an unbreakable bond with their humans – unbreakable in the sense that they will always treasure their owner’s presence for as long as they are alive.
Then again, some dogs take the meaning of being “Man’s best friend” to another level. The dog in the featured video below is no exception. There’s no doubt that the doggo in the following video is Dad’s best friend. Why? Well, maybe because the dog’s owner trained him to help make his life a little easier.
You might say the owner is a bit lazy for ordering the dog around to do what he’s supposed to do himself. But let’s face it, training the dog to do something other than to catch or sit is a satisfying achievement. So when the dog finally got the hang of what his owner trained him to do, the owner decided to show off his skills on social media.
The video starts with the camera focused on an empty beer can. The dog can be seen lying on the floor, minding his own business. The man taps the empty beer can on the table and says, “Beer me.” The dog recognizes this as a command to grab a beer, and he jumps up and heads for the fridge.
The dog grabs the rope tied to the handle on the fridge to swing it open. Once the fridge door opens, the dog then grabs a can of beer. He takes it to the man and then shuts the fridge door when ordered.
The man hands his dog the empty beer can. The dog then opens the trash bin and throws the can in there! How I wish I had such a smart dog to help me around the house! Check out the dog being dad’s best friend in the video below.
