This Rescue Pittie Is Obsessed With Stuffed Animals And She’s Got About 100 Of Them

Joseph McNair April 7, 2022

Tara, an experienced dog rescuer and foster, received a call from her friend about a dog that lived in an abandoned house. Apparently, the family who owned it moved out and left the poor pup behind. There was no clue as to how long it was on its own, but when she came to get it, she knew she was just right on time.

The pup, named Daenerys, later on, was so skinny. She sat inside the bathroom and cowered in a corner, waiting for someone to come and save her. And when her rescuer finally arrived, she stood up and wagged her tail.

Daenerys didn’t seem fearful of humans and showed no signs of aggression whatsoever. In fact, she loved having them around. She was more at ease when there’s at least one person in the room with her.

Starved and dehydrated, the dog needed time to gain back her strength. It took her five days before she was able to stand without falling to the ground. But from that moment, she became unstoppable.

Daenerys began to discover things around her. She started playing, and she was obsessed with stuffed animals. She couldn’t get enough of all her plush toys and she always carried one in her mouth wherever she went.

When Tara noticed how much the dog loved stuffed animals, she bought one almost every day. And before they both knew it, Daenerys already had about a hundred of them. It was overwhelming for the two of them, but they enjoyed it nonetheless.

As days went by, Daenerys improved a lot. She gained about a pound each day until she attained her healthy weight of 53 pounds. And as she recovered, her personality started to shine. She proved to be an incredibly affectionate girl who loved to cuddle with her rescue mom.

Soon enough, it was time for Daenerys to say goodbye. She continued to her new home in Colorado and met her new mom Justine. She loved everything that happened in her life and she couldn’t be more grateful for all the help she received.
