This Seriously Injured Stray Dog Had Hours Left To Live, But Her Rescuers Made Sure She Gets To Live Another Day

Joseph McNair October 24, 2022

A stray dog named Molly lived an okay life on the streets because her kind neighbors always gave her food. Sometimes, they also let her sleep inside their yard, so in a sense, she wasn’t completely homeless. She was doing great until one day, a horrible incident happened and everything changed.

While Molly happily played, a speeding car passed by and hit her. She didn’t die but she ended up with a massive laceration around her torso. Additionally, she suffered from a fractured leg that caused her so much distress.

Considering the severity of her condition, the poor dog had hours left to live. Thankfully, volunteer workers of Animal Aid Unlimited, India came at the right time. They assessed the pup’s situation and then quickly took her to their hospital.

The shelter workers immediately prepped the dog for emergency surgery. But before anything else, they administered pain meds to lessen her discomfort. At the same time, they comforted her with their kind words and assured her that everything will turn out just fine.

The surgery took a few hours but it was a success. The surgeon managed to suture Molly’s wound and he also placed a splint on her broken leg. After the operation, all that’s left was for the pup to take lots of rest.

She was in the worst state when she arrived at the rescue center, but Molly felt 100% better just a day after. She was still weak to go out but she ate her food on her own. She also had the strength to snuggle with one of her rescue friends.

To keep her wound from getting infected, it was necessary to clean Molly’s suture and change her bandages on a daily basis. Every time, it caused her pain, but never did she complain, not even once. She knew that everything they did was for her own good.

Despite her ordeal, Molly kept her hopes and her spirits high. She endured more pain so she could heal completely. Because she didn’t give up, she got to live a life that’s better than what she used to have.
