Joseph McNair March 10, 2022

The majority of us love dogs. They are furry, cute, and lovable. Some dogs are small and can sit on our laps. Others are big and can protect us from danger. There are all sorts of breeds of dogs, with different appearances and personalities, which can be even be matched to our own. But exactly why do people love dogs so much? Let us look at some reasons.

– Dogs Offer Unconditional Love

It is a well-known fact that dogs are a great source of unconditional love for us humans. No matter what we look like, our background, flaws, or weaknesses, dogs accept us for who we are. Even after having a hard day, it is always nice having a dog who will grant us their affection.

– They Help Us Deal With Loneliness

Dogs help us combat loneliness by always being there for us whenever we need them. They can provide plenty of comforts as well as company. We can spend time with them, take them for walks with us, and for car rides. They can even keep those who live alone feel safer.

– They Are Loyal

Dogs are the greatest symbol of loyalty and for very good reason. There are many accounts of remarkable loyalty shown by dogs in the past. These are portrayed in films, stories, and books. Even if at times those close to you fail to be there when you need them, your dog will always be loyal to you no matter what.

– The Combat Stress

Studies have shown that dogs help to lower blood pressure as well as combat stress and anxiety. Nothing can beat coming home from a stressful day of work to a dog who is so excited to see you! Dogs make us laugh, they are reassuring, and can take our minds off daily anxieties and trials.
