After 17 Shots And Without One Ear Dog Becomes Therapy Dog

After 17 Shots And Without One Ear Dog Becomes Therapy Dog

Joseph McNair April 22, 2024

Maggie, a brave canine, was found tied down in the street of Lebanon, without one of her ears and with 17. God knows how afraid she was of humans and how much pain she was in.
Everyone wondered who could do this to her because Maggie was one of the sweetest dogs. She never showed any signs of aggression despite her ordeal.
The rescue organization, Wild at Heart Foundation, brought Maggie to the vet. The doctor found out that Maggie was pregnant at the time of the attack. Her pregnancy had to be terminated because bullets inside her body left the fetus damaged.

was brave, and her process of recovery started. After Wild at Heart Foundation posted Maggie’s story on social media, Kasey Carlin, from the UK, knew she had to take the poor dog with her. She was aware that there was a massive chance for Maggie to stay with her forever.

Maggie was brave, and her process of recovery started. After Wild at Heart Foundation posted Maggie’s story on social media, Kasey Carlin, from the UK, knew she had to take the poor dog with her. She knew there was a massive chance for Maggie to stay with her forever.
When they met for the first time, it was very emotional. Kasey was over the moon when she saw and hugged Maggie. She heard comments that Maggie shouldn’t be with her because the dog in that condition is a burden for any family that would adopt her.
Maggie made friends with an Alaskan Klee Kai named Mishka, Kasey’s other dog. Maggie was confused by Mishka’s constant howling at first, but she got used to it, and now the two love each other and play all day long.

Kasey got the idea of training Maggie to become a therapy dog because she was friendly and loving to everyone she met. Maggie passed the training successfully and is now helping humans who need help, support, and love. She often visits the nearby care home, and all residents are delighted whenever Maggie stops by.
Kasey says the best decision she’s ever made is adopting Maggie.
