Getting deployed is always difficult for families, yet other times it is the pets that take the hit the hardest. After all, they don’t know why their owners are away and if they will ever come back.
Gabriel Carlos never ever wanted to leave his beloved dog Benny or his wife Charrette Padilla behind at home, yet it is something that a service member must go through. He was first deployed to South Korea last year. Benny and Charrette were seriously anxious in waiting for his return.
Gabriel finally came home for the first time after being away for nine months. He was thrilled that he was together with his wife again, yet he just couldn’t wait to see his best friend again.
Gabriel said that after seeing his wife and getting into their car to head home, all he could think about was seeing Benny again.
Benny was just as exhilarated as his dad about seeing each other again. Even if he didn’t have any proof that his dad is home, Benny definitely knew he was.
The moment Charrette opened the door, Benny freaked out in the most adorable way ever.
Charrette was recording as Benny went crazy on Gabriel, raining down tons and tons of kisses and licks, all the while his tail was wagging furiously.
There was probably no possible way for Benny to control the immense happiness that surged over him even if he tried. Benny’s dad was finally home, and life was good, after all, he had waited nine long months dearly for him.
Gabriel managed to calm Benny down for only a few moments, after that period of calm, Benny was back to doing what he was doing before.
To be honest, nobody can really blame Benny for freaking out the way he did. Benny had spent such a long time waiting for him. With his dad Gabriel finally home, life was perfect.
