Dog Owner Claims He Didn’t Abandon His Pet And Even Refuses To Let Her Join A New Family Despite Leaving Her Behind

Dog Owner Claims He Didn’t Abandon His Pet And Even Refuses To Let Her Join A New Family Despite Leaving Her Behind

Joseph McNair May 8, 2023

Jeomsoon, a dog that had lived with her family, one day found herself all alone in their old, decaying home. She stayed even after her owner abandoned her. And every day, she wished she would find him again. The dog’s loyalty led her to believe that her owner would return.

Two years had passed since she began living on her own, but she had seen no sign of her owner. However, she continued to wait for him.

Eventually, worried neighbors were unable to watch the dog suffer any longer. They contacted the local animal welfare organization and requested assistance for the dog. Without hesitation, the rescuers agreed to help.

When they arrived at the location, the rescuers chatted with a few neighbors and learned that the dog was fed by the old woman who lived next door. They paid her a visit, and she said that she took care of the animal out of compassion. She also suggested that they see her owner, who had moved out of the village but remained in the same area.

The dog’s owner was found following a brief period of searching. He conceded that he did not take Jeomsoon with him when he moved out, but he insisted that he did not abandon her. He even boasted that he visited her a month ago and gave her a thick blanket to use during the winter.

The rescuer attempted to reason with him, but he was unyielding. According to him, he did not abandon his dog, thus there is no need for it to move to another household. She belonged with him, and she had no intention of leaving him.

The next day, the rescuers encountered the man again. This time, though, they brought Jeomsoon along. They wanted to see the dog’s reaction, and their hearts bled as they witnessed her enthusiasm upon seeing him. Despite everything that she had gone through, she continued to adore him.

The man was not delighted to see the dog. He instructed her to cease following him. He simply continued on his way, leaving the dog in a state of grief.

After seeing the man’s treatment of the dog, the rescuers talked with him. They informed him that they would be taking the dog without asking for his consent, and he did not even answer.

Jeomsoon visited the vet for treatment. And after leaving, she continued to her new home.
