Little Boy Pen Heartwarming Recommendation Letter For His Foster Dog

Little Boy Pen Heartwarming Recommendation Letter For His Foster Dog

Joseph McNair August 12, 2024

Though they are only together briefly, Maggie, a pitbull puppy mix, and Roman Duncan, the boy who fostered Maggie, form a special bond.
Maggie arrived in New York from the South. She is now ready to find her forever home. However, before she went to the North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington, she was fostered by Ramon and his younger brother, Wyatt. The bond formed between Maggie and Roman was instrumental in Maggie finding his new family.

Maggie must have made quite an impression with Roman. He adored Maggie so much that he wanted to ensure she would immediately meet her new family.
Roman wrote her a letter of recommendation, hoping she would find the perfect family. In his letter, he wrote about how sweet and loving Maggie is. He said that Maggie was very friendly and would make an excellent pet for any family.
According to the Animal Channel, Roman, in his letter, mentioned the activities that the dog loves to do. It included playing and meeting new people. He also said Maggie is the best dog a family could have because he was already potty trained. She loves children and other dogs, too.
Alongside her paperwork for her flight to New York with around 50 other available pets, Roman included the letter and a few photos of Maggie. This resulted in a pleasant surprise when North Shore Animal League America’s Rescue Team Manager Karla Agostinello came across Maggie’s file. Roman’s gesture touched Karla, as they do not receive that many letters from kids for foster dogs.
It’s safe to say that Maggie has found her perfect match, thanks to Roman’s letter of recommendation. The North Shore Animal League of America reported that she was adopted shortly after Roman’s letter was made public.
Roman’s story is a heartwarming example of the difference one person can make in an animal’s life. Maggie is now living happily with her new family. It’s all thanks to Roman’s love while Maggie was still in his care. The time with Roman was genuinely beneficial for the dog, and his letter of recommendation is a testament to that.
