Have you ever wished you could bring your dog to work? Does leaving your dog at home on his own worry you? Would you prefer if your furry companion could spend all day with you at your job? Fortunately, in the near future, this might just as well be possible. Let’s look at some reasons why exactly is it that more companies are going dog-friendly nowadays.

1. Lowers Stress Levels

Having your dog in the workplace and being able to pet them can significantly lower your stress levels. In fact, the presence of your dog can even lower the stress levels of others. Various studies have shown that dogs can reduce stress, tension, nerves, and even blood pressure which is linked to these emotions.

2. Promotes Social Interaction

Having dogs in the workplace promotes social interaction between employees, giving them a common ground for a conversation. An employee with a dog may seem more approachable and easier to talk to. Additionally, social interaction may be more likely due to lower stress levels.

3. Better Customer Perceptions

Another great aspect of having dogs in offices or any place of work is that it may give customers better perceptions. People are more likely to partake of the service provided due to the presence of dogs and will leave with a positive verdict. They may also be more likely to recommend it to others.

 

4. Increased Productivity

Dogs create a more positive and comforting atmosphere at a place where quite a few people may not enjoy being. However, having a dog in the workplace can improve the mood of workers and promote a friendly atmosphere. This will often have a positive effect on productivity.

5. Employees Turn Up For Work

Sometimes, employees could miss work because of their dogs. Dogs can get up to all sorts of mischief when left alone. Also, for those working full-time, it could make it impossible to feed and care for your dog while at work. Bringing dogs to work will ensure employees turn up for their job regularly.
