A Pink Dinosaur Toy Calms Down A Dog Then Becomes Its Best Friend

A Pink Dinosaur Toy Calms Down A Dog Then Becomes Its Best Friend

Joseph McNair July 29, 2024

Patience is required when adopting a dog. The dog needs to adjust to the new environment, and it is not easy for them, as it is not easy for you. It will take some days or months, but eventually, they will come around.
This is what happened to Nicole Marie Wasieleski when she adopted a dog. Nicole was volunteering at the Animal Rescue League of Iowa when an old dog touched her. She never planned to take a dog because she already owns two, but this dog’s touch changed her thoughts, and she brought the dog home.

Marie named the dog Kairi, who was ten years old when she adopted her. Kairi’s previous owners were nowhere to be found, so she was at the shelter. As expected, when Marie brought her home, Kairi was scared because it was an unfamiliar environment.
Marie thought that Kairi would need a companion to make her feel secure. She brought Kairi to a dog store, and the dog stared at a pink dinosaur stuffed toy. Kairi liked this toy so much that she carried it to the cash register.
Kairi loved the $17-dollar toy; she doesn’t go anywhere without it. She shares it with Marie’s two other dogs but ensures it never stays within a reasonable distance. Marie named the toy Dino.
When Kairi first came home, she constantly barked and scratched the floors. The dog was scared and had a hard time adjusting, but she was able to settle down when she got Dino.

Marie couldn’t be more thankful to see Kairi adjusting to her new home now. Dino helped a lot with that. Marie’s father even bought the same toy as a backup just in case the toy gets damaged.
Marie is delighted to give Kairi a home where she can be loved and well cared for. Kairi is also pleased with her new mom, two dog pals, and Dino.
