Young Dogs Abandoned By A Remote Road Are Saved By Three Ladies, And The Puppies’ Response To Their Kindhearted Rescuers Will Move You

Young Dogs Abandoned By A Remote Road Are Saved By Three Ladies, And The Puppies’ Response To Their Kindhearted Rescuers Will Move You

Joseph McNair September 26, 2022

While we long for a world where all dogs get to be with their forever families, the reality is far from what we wish. There are just too many dogs that are abandoned.

These puppies were no exception. They were left by a side road in Greece. We don’t know who did this cruel act, but we’re glad that these innocent young dogs were rescued.

Three ladies became the puppies’ angels, and they just so happened to be founders of the Diasozo Animal Rescue in Karditsa, Greece.

These lovely women rescue dogs who have been abandoned or mistreated. They also spay and neuter all of their dogs to help control the dog population.

The dog population in Greece is out of control. There are an estimated 500,000 stray dogs on the streets.

The government has been trying to cull the dog population by poisoning them, but this method is inhumane and doesn’t solve the problem.

So these wonderful women stepped up and did their part to save furry lives. They rely heavily on donations, but they do everything from their hearts.

The women first located one puppy, and then went to get the other four. One puppy was so traumatized that it attempted to bite its rescuer. Pretty soon, though, the scared pup settled down.

All puppies were loaded into a car and were given food and water. Then they stopped by a vet where the puppies received first aid. Then the fluffballs were off to the Diasozo Animal Rescue Shelter.

The puppies trembled and timidly observed their new surroundings. There were other dogs and it was loud, but it was better than being all alone in the middle of nowhere.

We thank this rescue group for doing what they can to feed and care for our canine buddies. Do share and donate!
