Having nightmares can be horrifying. All the stress your brain goes through while sleeping is something we dread.
But did you know that we humans aren’t the only ones experiencing nightmares? Animals, especially our adorable furry friends, also get bad dreams.
An adorable 9-year-old Labrador retriever named Marley has a video of her dreaming. With her owner’s loving touch, the viral video has gotten a lot of likes and views.
The video starts with Marley fast asleep on the sofa. You’ll notice that she is struggling with something. She may be asleep, but still, her facial expression shows she is restless. She is whining and grumbling.
The owner, seeing this as a perfect moment to capture memories, grabs his camera and records his dog having nightmares.
Marley seems like she’s escaping from something. With her eye-twitching and legs moving, it looks like she is being chased and is doing her best to escape.
The owner grew worried and realized he couldn’t bear to see Marley in that horrible dream anymore. So he immediately wakes her up to free her from it. With the owner’s gentle touch on Marley’s face and a lovable tickle on the ears, the pooch was able to escape such a bad dream!
Upon waking her up, Marley suddenly smiles as a sign of relief.
After breaking free from the nightmare, Marley first sees her worried human. She gives him a precious smile, as if to tell her owner how grateful she is for helping her escape her dream.
Sometimes waking up our lovable pooches from a dream is bad. But if you know it is a nightmare, you may wake them with a gentle stroke. Just like Marley, your dog might wake up smiling and relieved.
