A woman named Lea recently got a dog named Samson. Lea’s family has trained dogs to be medical response service dogs, and Samson became one of them.
The moment they met him, they immediately noticed that he was not friendly at all. He was different from all the other dogs as he can’t seem to socialize with other canines. He was so focused and so serious about his job as a service dog. He doesn’t have the foggiest idea of how to play with others.
There were times when he would be given a break to go out and play, but he would only stay in one corner. He would watch all the other dogs have fun. It was a little heartbreaking for Lea to see because she wanted him to enjoy himself.
The first time that the family truly noticed that he connected with an animal was on a trip. Samson found a cat by a window. He approached the cat while his tail was wagging.
That’s when the family realized that Samson could connect to felines more. They decided to adopt a kitten named Cleo so he can have a friend.
When they first brought Cleo home, they placed Cleo in a bag in the middle of the room. When Samson saw this, he approached the bag and slowly sniffed around. When he realized what was inside, he immediately became so excited.
He could not stop wagging his tail! Since then, the two became very close and would always spend time together.
The family even started bringing Cleo on their hikes. Every time she would get tired, Lea would place her on Samson’s back. They would then continue on their walk this way.
Cleo would balance herself and would continue to enjoy the view from Samson’s back. This was a touching scene between two different animals. Samson and Cleo have spent most of their time together. Their family is especially pleased that Samson found a friend.
