Gone are the days when cats and dogs were known to be mortal enemies. These days, there are instances when you can see them playing around with each other.
But what this German Shepherd did to his tiny kitten friend is beyond expectation. In the video posted on DailyPicksandFlicks’ YouTube channel, you can see that, at first, the kitten and the German Shepherd named Tennyson want to go up the stairs.
In the first few steps, Tennyson leads the way. You can see in the video the vast difference between their sizes. The video didn’t indicate the kitten’s age, but it’s just days or weeks old at that size.
On the other hand, you can see Tennyson, the German Shepherd, towering above the said kitten.
At first, the kitten climbs just fine, but after three enormous steps for the kitten, it seems like she lost her momentum.
It looks like Tennyson can’t wait, so he gently grabs the kitten by the back of her head and takes her in his mouth to help her get to the top of the stairs.
You might think that Tennyson will eat the kitten in just one bite. But no. For Tennyson, cats are friends, not food.
Having a cat and dog help each other out is an adorable sight. Who knows? In a few weeks from now, they may already be the best of friends and playmates.
The owner of these animals is fortunate to have both of them. The bond the cat and dog share is something one can only see sometimes. Even if dogs and cats are known to be rivals, like Tom and Spike, this video only shows that dogs have a kind heart toward cats.
